Wolfforth Volunteer Fire DepartmentThe Wolfforth Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1954 and provides fire and rescue services to 88 square miles in Southwest Lubbock County. Currently, the Fire Department consists of 18 dedicated volunteers. |

Wolfforth VFD is active in the community, participating in a variety of activities. Major programs include:
Fire Prevention Week - Present programs to area schools and daycare centers
Wolfforth Meals on Wheels - Check, and install if necessary, smoke detectors and 911 addresses in each recipient's home; assist with deliveries as needed, contribute funds.
Wolfforth Annual Harvest Festival - Assist with parade and traffic control; operate concession stand with proceeds donated to local charities.
Fill the Boot - Annual Labor Day effort to collect funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Santa Project - Provide food and Christmas gifts to Wolfforth area needy families.
