City of Wolfforth Proclaims December 4, 2023 as Debbie Perkey Day

At the December 4th council meeting, Debbie Perkey was recognized for her dedication to the Wolfforth community. Debbie's impact goes back to 1989 when she began her career with the city of Wolfforth. After 30 years of service, she retired in 2019 as the City Secretary who is charged with ensuring order and continuity in the municipal legislative process of the city through guardianship of City Council records, ordinance codification, and election processes. Debbie was appointed by the city council to the Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors as their treasurer and remained their secretary for over 20 years. In May of 2020, Debbie was elected to city council and served during a great time of growth. Debbie continues to serve the citizens of Wolfforth as a part of various service organizations including the Wolfforth Cemetery Association and Wolfforth Library Advisory Board.

We express our sincere appreciation to Debbie for her unprecedented service and commitment to the City of Wolfforth, her loyalty to the City of Wolfforth, and for calling Wolfforth her home, and wish her much happiness in her future endeavors. We urge all residents to join the City Council and the Wolfforth Economic Development Corporation in congratulating Debbie on her unprecedented service to the City of Wolfforth. We wish her many continued years of happiness and good health.
