Home Rule Charter for City of Wolfforth

In 1912, Texas voters passed the Home Rule Amendment which gave cities with over 5,000 inhabitants the power to adopt their own charter after an election, thereby giving them the power of self-government. A home rule charter is a fundamental governing document for a City in Texas.  A Charter enables citizens of a city to define the basic organization, powers, duties, functions, and essential procedures of its government.
